Meet The Executive Team
Rishi Passi – Founder and CEO
As Founder and CEO of Oblix Capital, Rishi is in charge of corporate development, strategic planning and overall management of the business. Additionally, he is an instrumental part of the credit committee.
Rishi is a seasoned global real estate entrepreneur, with over 17 years’ experience in development, investment and finance. During this time he has overseen the improvement and construction of numerous developments and continues to be an investor in various real estate projects and businesses. Furthermore, outside of his work at Oblix, Rishi sits on the board of Red Planet Hotels Limited, a fast growing Asia focused, value sector hotel chain.
Anuj Nehra – Managing Director
Anuj works closely across the business to realise the company’s growth strategy and establish it as a leading provider of specialist medium-term finance. Anuj holds an MBA, Bachelor of Science (Chemistry), CeMAP in commercial lending and is a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
Anuj has over 17 years within financial services, having held various roles with specialist lenders, including GE Capital igroup and Ocwen. In his previous role, he was a Director on the board of Commercial First Mortgages where he was actively involved in the restructure and sale of the Business to Shawbrook Bank. During his career he has executed and managed the securitisation of over £6 billion mortgage backed securities and involved in two start-ups that led to successful exits.
Steve Rogers – Finance Director
As Finance Director for the group, Steve provides leadership in optimising the company’s financial performance, implementing the board’s finance and accounting strategy and ensuring a strong financial control culture is embedded.
Steve is a qualified chartered management accountant having held senior treasury and finance positions at Kensington Mortgages RBS, Barclays and most recently as FD of CHL Mortgages and Landmark Mortgages. With 20 years’ experience specialising in mortgage financing and asset backed securities Steve brings a wealth of financial experience in both regulatory and structured finance environments.
Snizhana Yesaulenko – Operations Director
Snizhana oversees the company’s daily operations as well as leading key projects implementing new initiatives. Snizhana’s responsibilities include compliance, governance and risk whilst ensuring processes are optimum and beneficial to both staff and clients.
Snizhana has extensive experience having worked in risk and compliance functions for Prudential plc, RBS and Direct Line Group with a focus on financial crime for over six years. Previous to this she worked within structured finance for Commercial First Mortgages.
Andy Reid, Director – Intermediary and Network
As the driving force behind Oblix’s sales team, Andy is responsible for new business development amongst our financial intermediaries and broker partners. Andy is tasked with strategically enhancing our proposition to market and ensuring our clients have first rate products that meet the needs of now.
With over 30 years’ experience in financial services, Andy joined Oblix Capital from Hampshire Trust Bank, having held the title of Head of Business Development. During his time at Hampshire Trust Bank, Andy was responsible for growing business through the commercial division and has a proven track record in sales and relationship management. Prior to that, he worked at InterBay for over nine years, developing key relationships between partners and brokers.
Caroline Barlow – Director of Credit Risk
As Director of Credit Risk, Caroline oversees the department’s activities, ensuring we maximise lending potential and minimise credit risk. With over 26 years’ experience, Caroline brings a wealth of knowledge in strategic, credit management practices within the UK’s real estate sector.
She joins Oblix from Lloyds Banking Group, where she was most recently Head of Credit for UK Wealth and International Mortgages. During her time in this role, Caroline led teams focusing on credit sanctioning and portfolio management.
Richard Payne – Director of Development
Richard looks after the Development loan book dealing with all matters Client related. He is responsible for all Client liaison from the first introduction, through financial close, all the way to redemption. Richard is charged with expanding the development proposition via existing borrowers and new clients.
With 35 years of property experience firstly as a construction consultant and later as a financier – Richard is a seasoned professional in the development space. Richard has been a Director at Currie & Brown and Turner & Townsend as cost and project manager as well as fund monitor. Latterly he has held lending roles at Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander, Deutsche Bank and most recently Head of Real Estate Finance at BLME (Bank of London and the Middle East).
