Head of Marketing

Role Title

This role offers the member of staff the opportunity to work for a progressive and forward-thinking short term mortgage lender specialising in development and bridging finance, originating loans via both the intermediary channel and direct to client in a market sector that is currently undergoing high levels of growth.

The Head of Marketing will lead all digital, marketing, communications, partnerships and audience activities across all platforms. Develop and execute the strategic, practical and creative direction in order to deliver marketing strategies and priorities. Determine and allocate marketing budget.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide creative leadership and implementation on digital content, press releases, promotions, articles and internal communication
  • Responsible for delivery of digital marketing programs to drive content, leads, demand, customer acquisition, development and retention
  • Set specific digital objectives and report back to board on campaign progress
  • Ensure smooth operation for all digital tools and applications
  • Ensure work of the team is proceeding on target in line with key indicators, budget, headcount, performance and compliance
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor strategy using analytical frameworks, strategic business models and tools, reporting to the Board on results to keep ahead in our field
  • Plan and organize publicity and public relations campaigns where necessary
  • Develop marketing strategies, working closely with the Board and Sales Director to ensure company targets are being met
  • Lead the department through the necessary transformational changes and efficiency programs
  • Ensure company literature is up to date
  • Responsible for company website and intranet content and maintenance
  • Manage third party marketing and PR agreements

Qualifications and requirements

  • A strategic thinker with experience of successfully influencing and directing strategic development in a complex stakeholder environment essential
  • Management experience at a senior level essential
  • Marketing related qualification(s) required
  • 5 + years’ marketing and digital marketing experience
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Ideally website and CMS experience
  • InDesign skills would be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent communication, both spoken and written
  • Ability to work in a challenging and fast paced environment
  • Proactive and adaptable nature
  • Always representing the company in the best possible light
