This role provides support to the Operations Manager in all business operational activity relating to the management of the loan book, oversight of the primary and special servicing activity, interactions with all internal departments, management of third party advisors and professionals.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assisting the Operations Manager on the all BAU activity relating to the management of the loans book.
  • Oversight of activities undertaken by mortgage servicer responsible for the administration of all day to day activities on mortgage portfolios
  • Monitoring of expiring loans and recommending any appropriate action to ensure repayment
  • Review and recommendation of account requests from the debt servicer
  • Liaise with third party providers including surveyors, LPA Receivers, solicitors, administrators and property management companies to mitigate risk to our clients and ensure best resolution is achieved
  • Continually review department processes and procedures to achieve maximum operational efficiency and ensure best practice
  • Identify and recommend improvements to processes and policies in line with business activity and changes in regulation
  • Minute meetings and provide the minute documents after each meeting as required

Qualifications and requirements

  • Degree 2:2 or above
  • Experience of either a collections or customer service role within financial services
  • An understanding of the end to end mortgage lending and servicing lifecycle
  • Experience third party relationships
  • Commercial and analytical experience with working in a financial services business
  • Excellent Communication Skills
