The key responsibility will be to support the creation of Business Intelligence and Analytics capabilities, maintenance and improvement of Oblix management information and reporting suites and working closely with stakeholders across all levels of the business with the aim to assure data accuracy and availability across the organisation. The role also provides line management of the Data Analyst.

Duties and responsibilities

Accountable for:

  • Thought leadership on data management, management information and business intelligence
  • Providing timely, precise, accurate and comprehensive MI and reporting to the Execs
  • Collating and presenting board packs
  • Designing and implementing an analytical suite enabling data driven MI to be embedded within the business
  • Collaborate with IT team and data owners to ensure data accessibility and delivery.
  • Data Dictionary architecture – Define a common vocabulary
  • Analyse end-user reporting requirements and develop reports and dashboards as per business requirements
  • Identify and define data assets that relate to critical business functions.
  • Working closely with the Finance and Treasury teams to provide objective view of true performance
  • Ensure all Oblix data is managed and maintained in accordance with the agreed standards and guidelines
  • Review and manage all data change requests, seeking stakeholder approval where required
  • Undertake regular data audits to ensure adequacy, accuracy, availability and legitimacy of data and manage actions to resolve any non-conformances
  • Review and validate all requests for new reporting or changes to existing reports
  • Effective line management of the Data Analyst to deliver high levels of performance

Qualifications and requirements

  • Business, Finance or IT based degree
  • Strong Excel skills and modelling experience, SQL, SQL Azure, SSRS
  • Analytical with an ability to standardise data from multiple sources
  • An ability to identify and correct errors in data
  • Management information / Data experience
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and change
  • Proven excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
