Oblix Capital – Modern Slavery Statement

Oblix is a specialist finance provider. We are serious about our brand because it’s part of our identity and so is our commitment to corporate social responsibility. We believe transparency is the best way we can ensure the public that we are doing our best as an ethical corporate citizen. In that spirit, we have published our annual statement for slavery and human trafficking, made in compliance with section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, in which we explain how slavery and human trafficking can affect our business and the steps we are taking in the fight against it.

This statement is made pursuant to Section 54, Part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (“the Act”) and sets out the steps that Oblix Group has taken to reduce, as far as possible, the risk that slavery and human trafficking takes place in any parts of its business  or supply chains.

Oblix has a zero-tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking and we are  committed to acting ethically and with integrity in our business dealings and relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.

Oblix is also committed to ensuring there is transparency in our own business and in our approach to tackling modern slavery throughout our supply chains, consistent with our disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We expect the same high standards from all of our contractors, suppliers and other business partners. Additionally, we expect our suppliers to hold their own suppliers to the same high standards.

We strive to maintain the highest standards of conduct and ethical behaviour from our employees and our suppliers.

We currently cover our modern slavery obligations as part of our training to all staff. As well as training staff, we will be raising awareness of modern slavery issues generally and reiterating to our staff the importance of our Code of Conduct.
